It Is Believed That Smartphones Raises The Risk Of Brain Cancer

However, using mobile phones, no matter how long, is not linked to brain and head cancers, according to a comprehensive review of the highest quality evidence commissioned by the World Health Organization (WHO). There is no evidence of the link between mobile phones and brain cancer or other head and neck cancers. The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) now ranks mobile phone radiation as “perhaps carcinogenic” (Class 2B), a title utilised when a possible connection cannot be led out. As per the Reuters news, the IARC advisory body has suggested re-evaluating this type in light of recent data.

Does The Smartphones Cause Brain Cancer?

Well, no concrete evidence is available regarding the association between smartphones and brain cancer. Too much phone usage is known to cause insomnia, anxiety, depression, stress, and anxiety. One will also encounter headaches and poor cognitive health, including lack of concentration, phone addiction, weight gain and obesity, and neck and back pain. Instead of believing any claims and panicking, it is better to consult an expert who can clear all the doubts regarding this claim.

    The Factors Causing Brain Cancer

These are the causes of brain cancer that one should watch out for:

    1. Primary tumours begin in the brain due to benign tumours becoming cancerous. However, the exact cause of this tumour is not clear yet. The secondary tumour starts in the lungs, breasts, bowels, or skin and spreads to the brain via the bloodstream.
    2. Moreover, genetic conditions like tuberous sclerosis, neurofibromatosis type 1 and 2, and Turner syndrome are known to cause brain tumours. Increased age and immune system disorders such as lymphomas. It is imperative to educate yourself regarding these factors behind brain cancer.
    3. Remember, one has to initiate timely treatment after witnessing symptoms such as seizures, weakness and paralysis, constant headaches, vision and speech problems, hearing issues, changes in smell and taste, nausea and vomiting, and memory problems.

The doctor will decide on the best course of treatment based on your symptoms, size, location, and type of tumour.

    The Last Word

It has been proven that smartphones are not linked to brain cancer in any way. One shouldn’t fall prey to unauthentic claims not backed by research, studies, or expert opinions. However, one should limit phone usage to stay healthy and hearty.
